About Barry — Heating, Cooling & Appliance Repair in Sacramento

Twenty years in the trade. Fourteen years under this name. One person answering the phone, doing the work, and standing behind it.

The short version

Why I Do This Work

I started this business for a simple reason: I enjoy repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems. Doing quality work for people makes me feel good about what I do — and I treat you like I'd like to be treated.

I learned the trade the long way: trade school first, then years on the job — including five years working for multiple companies in Arizona, where summer doesn't forgive sloppy HVAC work. I've been running my own shop ever since, the last fourteen years under the Allan's name here in Sacramento.

The learning never stops. New equipment keeps getting more efficient and more particular, so I keep going to classes — ongoing factory training through Daikin and Goodman — to stay current with what's going into homes today.

On paper

Licensed, Bonded, Insured — and Current

C-20 HVAC Contractor

California license #977160 — with the bond that C-20 contractors are required to carry, plus general liability and workers' comp insurance.

BEAR Appliance License

License #46389 — the state credential for appliance repair. Two licenses, one call: that's the one-stop shop.

Factory Training

Ongoing classes through Daikin and Goodman — because high-efficiency equipment changes fast, and guessing isn't a repair strategy.

How I work

The Rules I Don't Break

  • Take the time to find the real problem — so it's fixed once, not twice
  • No high-pressure sales, no upselling — I tell you what I found, you decide
  • Options always include what I'd choose for my own family
  • If a repair doesn't make financial sense, I say so — and point you at brands worth buying
  • Plain-language explanations — you'll understand what broke and why
